Applying Appalachian State Universitys Honors College Essay Prompts
Applying Appalachian State University's Honors College Essay PromptsAppalachian State University's honors college essay prompts are one of the most effective college writing techniques that you can use in college. If you have never used them before, I will show you how to go about using the AP honors college essay prompts. This is a technique that many people struggle with when it comes to using the essay prompts in their own college essays.First of all, we should look at why there are more writing prompts and less time in the classroom setting. First off, writing prompts are designed for students in an environment where they are writing about their own personal experiences and opinions. In other words, they do not write about events that happened to them and hear about them in class. They write about what they believe and feel.It is easier to develop an opinion about something if it is about someone you know or something that you know a little about. You might take an opinion on the role religion plays in a community and put that opinion in your own personal words and add some personal opinion on the local church. You may see the same opinion and still feel uncomfortable discussing it because you do not know anyone that would share that opinion with you. College is a place where you need to develop opinions from people you do not know well, and this is one way you can accomplish this task.Secondly, in addition to being difficult to form an opinion about, it is also harder to formulate your thoughts into a question than it is to write an essay prompt. When you write an essay prompt, you are simply trying to state a fact or an opinion. You are not trying to state an opinion or fact. With an essay prompt, you are not trying to come up with a question. With an essay prompt, you are trying to think of a question or thought that is already present in your writer's mind. With an essay prompt, you are trying to create a thought or idea that is already in your writer's mind. With an essay prompt, you are just trying to formulate the thought in your writer's mind. Applying this concept, you might come up with something like 'your shoes are like a sack that has legs'.In other words, with an essay prompt, you are trying to come up with an idea or an opinion that is already inside your writer's mind, while in the case of an essay prompt, you are trying to come up with an idea or an opinion that is not already in your writer's mind. This is why essay prompts are so useful. By simply putting your opinion or a fact into the prompt, you are already aware of what kind of question you are going to ask. The essay prompts usually make it much easier to start developing an opinion or fact. Now, let's talk about the academic world of academia. If you are stuck in a classroom setting where your opinion or a fact is what is going to be discussed in class, then, you should avoid the temptation to 'tell a story' when discussing your opinion or fact. The best thing t o do is, by all means, describe your opinion or fact, but make sure that it is based upon facts. What I mean by this is that you should always make sure that you are providing facts and do not try to manipulate the facts to fit your opinion or feelings. Always make sure that you use facts. There is no point in developing your opinion if you do not provide any facts. These two strategies can really help you as a student and as a writer.
